Guided tour to sites of the witch hunts in Dieburg

This tour sheds light on a dark chapter in Dieburg's history: Between 1596 and 1630, at least 196 men, women and children in the town were accused of witchcraft, tortured during interrogations, brutally murdered and burned at the stake. Numerous buildings connected to the witch trials can still be found within the town limits today. Led by an expert guide, this tour brings history to life, showcasing buildings where interrogations took place, locations where the victims were imprisoned and selected residences of the accused mentioned in various sources.
