The Art of Poetry – A Creative and Personal Journey

Poetry is more than words; it can be a path to emotional expression and personal creativity. In this 6-part course with award-winning Iranian poet Sahar Ajdamsani, you can discover your poetic voice and share your stories through poetry, supported by guided writing exercises, poem analysis, and constructive group feedback.

Please note that this is not a regular English language course; the focus is on poetry and creative expression. It is suitable for participants with an English B1 level and above.

• Basics of poetry writing
• Getting to know different literary stylistic devices
• Creative writing exercises inspired by imagination and personal experiences
• Using literary devices and metaphors to enrich your writing
• Reading and analyzing Persian and international poetry
• Friendly feedback sessions to develop your individual poetic style

Your teacher Sahar Ajdamsani is an Iranian poet, artist and singer. Because of her public commitment to freedom of expression and women's rights, she had to leave her home country and is now living in Germany.
